No. NO. NOO.I've been rejected from Dartmouth and Harvard.
I feel like someone took my dog and killed it. I've been working so hard to go to Dartmouth for such a long time now. Everything I did was to better my chances. I had myself so stressed with grades and SAT's and class ranks. I hired tutors for myself and involved myself in enough extra curriculars to feed an army.
But that didn't even matter. Instead. Oh this is good. The boy in my school who has been waitlisted from UCONN and Northeastern, HE GETS IN. WHY? Because he can jump over a 13 foot pole. I could get into those schools with my eyes closed. EYES CLOSED. NOT EVEN TRYING. And you know what makes it worse? He hates to work hard. He's done with school this year and doesn't want to do anything. Every time I talk to him, he's telling me to just stop doing my homework. How can they accept him? I want to work hard. I want the challenge!
